QWER Fan Concert in Osaka

QWER (Chodan, Magenta, Hina, Siyeon) successfully held their first fan concert, ‘QWER The 1st Fan Concert: 1 2 QWER!’, in Osaka, Japan. The concert took place on April 10 at Yogibo Meta Valley. The band opened with the Japanese version of their debut song Discord, which was met with an enthusiastic response from the local fans.
QWER followed up with powerful performances of Planet Conquest and Declaration of Freedom, delivering a strong band sound and sense of liberation. They continued with fan-favorite songs including T.B.H, Fake Idol, My Name is Malguem, SODA, Mystery Diary, Echo, and Let’s Love. The audience sang along, even with songs that had Korean lyrics, creating a lively and intimate atmosphere.
Special Stages and Emotional Moments
Each member had a special stage. Chodan and Magenta performed Running with synchronized vocals and choreography. Hina and Siyeon showcased a hip-hop style performance that captivated the crowd.
During the encore, Fireworks and Harmony of Stars echoed through the venue. The members reflected on their journey as QWER and shared heartfelt thanks. “We never imagined we’d be on this stage,” they said. “We’re grateful to our fans, the Bawige, for making our dream real.” They added, “We won’t forget how it all started and will keep running forward with joy.”
QWER Osaka Concert Draws a Diverse Audience
Fan accounts on Korea’s MLBPARK community provided more insight into the Osaka concert. The venue, Yogibo Meta Valley, was small with around 600 seats. According to fans, it felt more like a club than a concert hall.
Despite its size, the audience was incredibly diverse. From high school students to men in their 60s, many fans gathered to support QWER. Some wore suits, having come straight from work. Others had gray hair and wore birthday T-shirts from past fan events. The male-to-female ratio was close to 50:50.
Originally, Osaka wasn’t part of the official tour. It was added later and, due to the weekday schedule, a larger venue wasn’t available. Interestingly, the concert hall has a personal connection to Siyeon, making the event even more meaningful.
Siyeon’s Journey and a Rare Fan Experience
Since QWER has not yet achieved widespread fame overseas, fans who travel to their international concerts enjoy unique perks. They can see the members from just a few steps away. This Osaka concert may have been the last chance to see QWER so up-close.
Old fans of Siyeon, who remembered her NMB48 days, also came to the concert. She was active in NMB48 from August 14, 2021, to August 8, 2023. Although she didn’t achieve much success during that time, she gained popularity after debuting with QWER on October 18, 2023.
Many of her Japanese fans expressed deep emotions, saying it felt special to wear her old birthday T-shirts again. Some also noted how surprised they were to see so many Korean fans at the Osaka venue.

QWER performing in a small venue in Osaka with only 600 seats… seems like it was an unscheduled gig or something. 🤔 But what’s this about the venue having a connection to Siyeon? 🤔🤔 Was it a place she used to perform at when she was active in Japan?
