IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN marks a major step in IVE’s growing popularity with 11 concerts across Nagoya, Fukuoka, Kobe, and Yokohama. The tour builds on past success while highlighting new performances, fan connections, and Rei’s emotional return to her hometown. IVE’s momentum continues with strong chart achievements, iconic festival appearances, and record-breaking venues.
IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN Brings Excitement Across Cities
IVE, made up of An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo, launched IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN with high anticipation. The tour began on April 12–13 at Aichi Sky Expo in Nagoya, setting the tone for an unforgettable fan experience. Following Nagoya, IVE will perform in Fukuoka, Kobe, and Yokohama, totaling eleven shows across four major cities. These concerts are expected to bring together more than 90,000 fans, proving the group’s strong popularity in Japan. This level of turnout reflects the connection IVE has built with their Japanese fanbase, known as DIVE, since their debut. Each city adds a unique flavor to the tour, giving fans more chances to enjoy their favorite group live.
IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN Builds on Past Fan Meeting Success
This tour follows IVE’s first Japanese fan concert, The Prom Queens, held in 2023. That event took place in Yokohama and Kobe, featuring eight sold-out performances that drew over 57,000 fans. With IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN, the group expands their reach by adding new cities, including Nagoya and Fukuoka, and increasing both scale and impact. For many fans, this is their first chance to see IVE live in their own hometowns. The tour’s inclusion of Nagoya is especially meaningful, as it’s Rei’s hometown, adding emotional value for both Rei and her supporters. Fans are excited not only to see IVE perform but also to be part of a moment that feels deeply personal and historic for Rei.
Seoul Kickoff Set Stage for IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN
Before heading to Japan, IVE launched the IVE SCOUT series with two sold-out shows at KSPO Dome in Seoul on April 5–6. The performances featured unreleased tracks from their upcoming albums, along with special unit stages that had never been shown before. Fans responded with overwhelming enthusiasm, and the atmosphere was electric from start to finish. The Seoul concerts highlighted how much the members have grown in live performance and stage presence since their debut. That strong start created momentum for the Japan tour, raising expectations and generating buzz across fan communities in both countries. The excitement from Seoul carried over, and many Japanese fans anticipated that their turn would be just as memorable.
Musical Growth Leads to IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN Expansion
IVE officially debuted in Japan in October 2022 with the Japanese version of ELEVEN, which earned Gold Disc status from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Their success continued when they were invited to perform at NHK’s prestigious year-end music show Kōhaku Uta Gassen. In 2023, they released their first Japanese album WAVE, followed by their second album ALIVE in 2024. Both albums topped various local music charts, confirming IVE’s staying power in a competitive market. ALIVE made it onto Billboard Japan’s Hot Albums chart and was also selected for Tower Records’ list of 2024’s top 20 best-selling K-pop albums. These achievements laid the groundwork for a larger tour and helped build excitement for IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN, making it more than just a concert—it became a celebration of musical growth and fan loyalty.
IVE Expands Presence Through Iconic Live Events
IVE’s growing influence in Japan is also clear from their invitations to major cultural events. In 2024, they performed at Summer Sonic, one of Japan’s largest music festivals, sharing the stage with world-class artists. They also appeared at Tokyo Girls Collection, a top fashion festival that blends style and music. These appearances showed that IVE is more than a music group—they’re cultural trendsetters. As part of their world tour SHOW WHAT I HAVE, IVE became the first Korean act to perform at Yokohama’s K-Arena. Later, they headlined Tokyo Dome for the final show of the tour. Performing at such legendary venues proves how far IVE has come and how firmly they’ve established themselves as global stars.
Rei’s Hometown Ties Add Meaning to Nagoya Show
Fans have taken a special interest in Rei, especially since IVE SCOUT IN JAPAN includes her hometown, Nagoya. Korean fan communities have been discussing Rei’s background with growing curiosity. Many believe she comes from a wealthy family, partly based on glimpses seen on TV. Her mother reportedly drives a Lexus LS, which some view as a sign of affluence. Also, Rei’s last name, Naoi, is considered rare in Japan and is often associated with well-established families. With Rei gaining popularity through her playful alter ego Pokjoogini, attention toward her personal story keeps growing. Her solo performance in Nagoya feels like a proud moment for both her and fans who have followed her journey from debut to now.
